Crop deficiency symptoms

Symptoms of boron deficiency are generally characterized by apical growth inhibition, lateral bud germination, clumps of leaves, leaf shrinkage, distortion, chlorosis, wilting, and flower buds falling off. When the corn is deficient in boron, irregular white spots will appear on the upper leaves, and then white streaks will be formed and the ears will be deformed. When the peanut is deficient in boron, the fruit leaves shrink. Boron deficiency in vegetable crops is more common. For example, brown heart rot will occur in radish, wood will appear in the center of cucumber, and rust will appear on tomato fruit. When the apple is deficient in boron, the fruit will have a shrinking disease. Rape, cotton, apple, Chinese cabbage, and carrot are sensitive to boron, and rice and wheat are not sensitive to boron.
Molybdenum deficiency symptoms are generally characterized by yellow or orange spots of different sizes in the leaves. The leaf margins are curled upwards in a cup shape, and the mesophyll is detached or underdeveloped. When broccoli is deficient in molybdenum, whiplash disease occurs. First, water-spotted spots appear between the veins, followed by yellowing and necrosis. When radish is deficient in molybdenum, it shows degradation of mesophyll, small leaf fissure, and upturned leaf margin. When the tomato is in 1 or 2 true leaves, the leaves turn yellow and curl, and then the new leaves appear spotted, the green part is arched upwards, the leaflets are rolled up, and finally the leaflet tip and leaf edge are shrunk and die. The molybdenum-sensitive crops are mainly broccoli and radish, followed by tomato.
The symptoms of chlorine deficiency are generally characterized by wilting of plants and chlorosis of leaves. The lack of chlorine in tomato is mainly caused by the wilting of the leaflets of the lower leaves, the growth is blocked, and then the wilting is partially necrotic, and the lobules cannot return to normal. When the cotton is deficient in chlorine, the leaves are wilted and the leaves are dark green. When the leaves are severe, the leaves are dry and curled, and the young leaves are heavier than the old leaves. Due to the wide source of chlorine, the chlorine in the fields and rainwater far exceeds the annual requirements of the crop. Therefore, in the field production, crops rarely suffer from chlorine deficiency.
