3 Conclusion The main performance of the desulfurization island of No. 3 and No. 4 boilers of Guohua Beijing Thermal Power Plant has reached the guaranteed value stipulated in the contract. When the molar ratio of calcium to sulfur is lower than 1.01, the desulfurization efficiency can reach more than 95%. The whole desulfurization system has low resistance, low power consumption and good load adaptability, and can fully meet the load change requirements of the boiler unit.

To this end, it was decided to replace the original 45th carbon steel bolt with a 30-gauge carbon steel with a slightly lower strength and higher toughness. Since the replacement in July 1999, there have been basically no bolt breaks, which has solved the problem that has been plagued for many years.
