Guangdong's strategic emerging industries promote the development of non-ferrous metals and other industries

Guangdong Province has announced the list of the first batch of provincial-level strategic emerging industry backbone enterprises. The development of emerging industries will promote the application of small metals such as lithium, tungsten, molybdenum, titanium, niobium and rare earth, which will bring opportunities for the development of non-ferrous metals. .

China Nonferrous Metals reported on January 14 that recently, Guangdong Province announced the list of the first batch of provincial-level strategic emerging industry backbone enterprises, mainly including Guangdong Fuyuan Rare Earth New Materials Co., Ltd. and Huizhou Yiwei Lithium Energy Co., Ltd. Home business, and this will stimulate the development of non-ferrous metals and bring good opportunities for its development. .

In September 2010, the State Council identified seven strategic emerging industries of energy conservation and environmental protection, new generation information technology, biology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy, new materials and new energy vehicles, and pointed out that it is necessary to cultivate a leading industry and pillar industry of the national economy. The first batch of strategic emerging industry backbone enterprises in Guangdong were produced in this context.

It is understood that these 50 companies in Guangdong have Huizhou Chunying Semiconductor Lighting Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Fuyuan Rare Earth New Materials Co., Ltd., Shenzhen BYD Auto Co., Ltd. and other new materials, new energy vehicles, etc. The application of some key metal materials, such as lithium, tungsten, molybdenum, titanium, niobium, rare earth and other small metals, will bring opportunities for the development of non-ferrous metals.

When Shang Fushan, vice president of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, talked about the task of China's non-ferrous metal industry during the 12th Five-Year Plan, he also talked about attaching importance to the development opportunities of non-ferrous metals under strategic emerging industries. He pointed out that it is necessary to accelerate the development of new non-ferrous metal materials, including: high-performance copper, aluminum, magnesium, tungsten, molybdenum, niobium, tantalum and other alloy materials; high-performance rare earth materials; high-performance precious metal materials; high-performance polysilicon, single Crystalline silicon materials; high performance battery materials; superconducting materials.

Experts believe that promoting the development of emerging strategic industries will lead to the reassessment of some small metal values and stimulate the development of high-end products of basic metals. During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, China has formed a number of high-end product production capacity, including 600,000 tons of high-precision copper plate, 850,000 tons of precision copper pipe and 500,000 tons of electrolytic copper foil.
