Footwear Standards Committee reviewed four criteria

The first three sessions of the National Shoemaking Standardization Technical Committee were held in Longyan City, Fujian Province. The four standards were reviewed at the meeting. They were the national compulsory standard "footwear steel hook heart", the national standard "footwear chemical test method dimethyl fumarate detection method", and the industry standard "shoes face test" Methods: Tensile Strength and Elongation, and Footwear, Packaging, Transport, and Storage.

The committee members improved the contents of the four standards and agreed that the Secretariat will organize the standards into a report and submit it. The four national and industry standards examinations separately formed the minutes of the review meeting.

At the meeting, Wei Yafei, director of the shoemaking office of the China Leather Association, also analyzed several issues that the shoe industry should pay close attention to and the prediction of the future Chinese shoe market.

Wei Yafei explained the operating conditions and characteristics of the industry in 2009 from the employment environment, domestic sales market, industrial clusters, import and export, and capital operation.

She believes that the factors affecting the development of the footwear industry have shifted from traditional factors such as raw material prices and labor costs originally focused on to oil prices, RMB exchange rates, population factors, and environmental protection. Under the influence of the international financial crisis, there are many uncertainties in the future.

Wei Yafei pointed out that the footwear industry must pay close attention to issues such as the appreciation of the renminbi, shortage of labor resources, urbanization, oil prices, entry of foreign retailers, and construction of the logistics industry.
