Brief introduction of "Technical Requirements for Clothing Rainproof Performance"

GB/T 23330-2009 "Technical Requirements for Waterproof Performance of Garments" was recently approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standardization Management Committee, and will be implemented on January 1, 2010. The standard stipulates the requirements, test methods, and rain signs for sheltering against precipitation (such as rain, snow), fog, and ground moisture rain clothing. However, this standard does not include the rain and spray performance requirements for garments. This standard applies to rain-proof clothing made of textile fabrics as the main fabric.

The main contents of the standard include: normative references, terms and definitions (wet resistance, water permeability resistance, outer fabric, inner lining, insulation lining, lining), requirements (outline, water permeability, moisture resistance, outer fabric Tensile strength, tear strength of outer fabric, seam strength of outer fabric, dimensional change rate of rainproof clothing, test methods (impermeability test, moisture resistance test, tensile strength test, tear resistance) Breaking strength test, seam strength test, dimensional change rate test), size type specification, rainproof mark, Appendix A of this standard "recommended taking time" is an informative appendix, standard appendix B "laminated textile (insulation lining) ) Example is an informative appendix, the standard Appendix C "One-sided test equipment for contact with fuel and mineral oil" is an informative appendix.

The revision of this standard adopts the European standard BS EN 343:2003 "Requirements for rain-proof performance of protective clothing" (in English).

The main differences between this standard and the English version of BS EN 343:2003 are as follows:
1, modified the standard name;
2, revised the scope of the standard;
3. The international standards and foreign standards in the normative references are replaced with corresponding national standards and industry standards;
4. The normative reference document EN 388 was deleted because BS EN 343 only references the abrasive specifications in EN 388. According to the actual situation in China, this standard uses the abrasive specified in FZ/T 01011 instead of the abrasive specified in EN 388;
5. Replace EN 340 with GB/T 20097, but do not include 4.2 safety requirements in EN 340. The pH value, the color fastness to perspiration, and the decomposable aromatic amine dyes have been stipulated in GB 18401 "National Safety Technical Code for Textile Products". The hexavalent chromium content and nickel content are not mandatory in China, so this standard does not require other requirements.
6. Revised chapter 6 of BS EN 343:2003. The dimensioning references GB/T 1335;
7. The normative reference document EN ISO 13934-1 has been deleted. The referenced national standard HG/T 2580 has corresponding provisions;
8. The “Information provided by the manufacturer” of Chapter 8 of BS EN 343:2003 was deleted because it has nothing to do with the technical content of this standard;
9. Based on the current production status of China's rain-proof fabrics, the “resistance to tearing of the outer fabric” index has been changed from 25N to 18N.
