The reporter learned from the Dalian Bureau of Quality Supervision yesterday that the new standard, “The Requirements for Cold Protection and Warmth of Labor Protective Clothing,†was implemented on January 1, 2009. The implementation of this standard will bring warmth to this cold winter. This standard is the first revision after 1992. It specifies the climate zone zoning limits for garments and the requirements for the configuration of the warmth protection of protective clothing for labor in all districts. It is applicable to the cold-proof garments for outdoor workers in winter and cold-weather garments for workers who work in low-temperature environments for many years. Experts from the Dalian Standardization Information Center said that compared with the old standards, the new standards mainly changed the total warmth requirements of clothing, clothing and so on. The five apparel climate zones all reduced the total heat preservation requirements in varying degrees.
