Valve products are widely used in petroleum, chemical, nuclear power, metallurgy, electric power, hydraulics, large coal chemical industry and other industries, the continuous increase in the total number of valve products, the continuous development of valve technology, valve applications continue to expand, with the corresponding valve standards It is increasingly showing its importance. This article describes the development of the valve standards, the system composition, the current status of the standard, the adoption of the standard and the development trend from the following aspects.

1. Adoption of international standards and adoption of advanced foreign standards in China's valve industry is an important standardization policy in China. The valve standard has also actively implemented this policy. A large number of international and foreign advanced standards have been adopted in basic standards, method standards, and product standards, which has raised China's standard valve technology.

(1) Adoption of International Standards From the above table, it can be seen that most of the international standards have been transformed into Chinese standards to varying degrees. However, there are some that have not been transformed for the time being. In addition, some individual international standards do not conform to our national conditions and will not be transformed.

(2) Adoption of advanced foreign standards With the construction and implementation of key projects such as long-distance pipelines in China, the relevant standards of the American Petroleum Institute (API) have received increasing attention in China. API is a non-profit organization representing the interests of exploration, development, storage, transportation, refining, and marketing of the US oil industry. Its standards have been widely adopted internationally. At present, there are 17 API valve standards that have been transformed or are being converted into national and industry standards in China. In addition, in accordance with the specific conditions of our country and foreign standards, our standards also adopt some standards from advanced countries such as MSS, AWWA, ASME, BS, JIS and so on.

Through the adoption of ISO and foreign advanced standards, China's standards have been greatly improved, narrowing the gap between valve products and foreign advanced products. For some conventional products, not only meet or even exceed the quality of similar foreign products.

2. Development Trends of Valve Standards (1) Strengthen the linkage between standards and scientific research, especially the research of major national science and technology projects, guide leading enterprises with advanced scientific research and technology, translate the results of independent innovation into standards, and promote new technologies and new processes. development of.

The national valve standard committee is now formulating the national standard "valve intelligent electric device." Valve intelligent electric device is a new type of product developed abroad at the beginning of this century. China has mastered this technology through introduction and R&D, and it has developed very fast. Yangzhou Power Construction, Tianjin Ertong, Wenzhou Rotork, and Changzhou Power Station auxiliary equipment can all be produced, and the product quality is also quite good. The formulation of a high-tech "valve intelligent electric device" standard will play a significant role in promoting the development of the industry and blocking or reducing imported products.

By converting a batch of new products and new technologies into standards, the cost has been reduced, the benefits have been improved, the functions of the products have been optimized, new products and new technologies have been quickly recognized by the market, and industrial progress has been promoted.

(2) Develop standards for energy conservation, consumption reduction, new materials, etc., and promote industrial restructuring.

China's natural resources are limited, so the development of energy-saving, water-saving, material-saving standards is one of the development direction of the valve standards. Accelerate the elimination of products with low efficiency and high energy consumption, adjust the industrial structure, and promote the development and application of new technologies and new products.

In the aspect of material saving, the focus of the valve is on researching new types of materials and using new materials instead of metal materials to achieve the purpose of saving steel and precious metals.

The new ceramic valve adopts a new type of ceramic material to make the sealing and wearing parts of the valve, improving the wear resistance, corrosion resistance and sealing performance of the valve product, and greatly prolonging the service life of the valve.

The raw materials for the manufacture of ceramics are extensive, and the cost is low. The use of common elements such as aluminum, carbon, and silicon can produce superior ceramic materials, which can save a large amount of metallic materials and rare mineral resources. Ceramic valves are used in electric power, petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, mining, sewage treatment and other industrial fields. They are wear-resistant, have good sealing, can minimize leakage, and will play an active role in promoting environmental protection. Following the development of technology, the Valve Standardization Committee organized the "Ceramic Sealed Valve" (JB/T10925-2005) standard to accelerate the promotion of ceramic sealing technology and promote the development of ceramic sealing materials.

In terms of reducing energy consumption, we will vigorously develop valve products with small flow resistance and low loss. In terms of energy saving, the focus is on the electric devices of the valves. By selecting low-power and low-noise motors and improving the structure of the electric devices, the energy consumption of the electric devices is controlled.

(3) Actively participate in international standard activities and accelerate the transformation of valve international standards The world has entered a period of economic globalization, and the inevitable trend of economic globalization is the internationalization of standards. Through the study of the correlation degree between the ISO standard and China's valve standards, we have an overall understanding of the status of China's valve standards, determine the direction of adoption, and increase the intensity of the use of the standard. At the same time, it strives to participate substantively in the work of international standardization, integrate China's standards into international standards, and strive for the right to speak and take the lead in international standards. Due to historical reasons and regional reasons, the current ISO/TC153 “valve” has formed a pattern that has already been dominated by Europe and the United States. Therefore, the National Valve Standardization Committee actively participated in and hosted the International Standards Conference on the one hand; on the other hand, it actively sent experts from China to join the standards committee “TC” of the international organization, the Sub-Committee “SC” and the Standards Working Group.” "WC" takes the vote of the draft international standard seriously and provides the favorable terms for China to the Secretariat of ISO/TC153, so that international standards can reflect our reasonable requirements.

(4) Improve the safety of valve products and ensure the safety of equipment and personnel. Many valves are used on pressure pipes and safety is of paramount importance. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China promulgated the "Technical Code for Safety of Special Equipment". Valves are used as one type of pressure piping components and are also included in special equipment. There are two main reasons for safety accidents caused by valve products. First, the product does not meet the requirements of the standard, such as the wall thickness of the housing, inspection requirements for welding joints, material requirements, etc. The other reason is the installation and use. improper. The National Valve Standards Committee has always attached importance to the safety requirements in product standards. These requirements are cited in the "Special Equipment Safety Technical Specifications" and become mandatory requirements, so as to ensure the safety of equipment and personnel to the maximum extent. In recent years, the valve standard committee has successively applied for standards such as "Standard Specification for Valve Shell Minimum Wall Thickness Requirements" and "General Requirements for Installation and Maintenance of Industrial Valves". The safety requirements of valve product standards and the revision of valve safety standards will be a focus of future work.
