The conversion efficiency record of silicon products is refreshed again to 20.3%

August 24th - Silicon wafer maker 1366 Technologies announced today that its Direct Wafer® manufacturing technology has renewed its performance record, independently by the Fraunhofer ISE CalLab Confirm that the battery conversion efficiency has reached 20.3%. This record was achieved through the joint efforts of 1366 Technology and its development partner Hanwha Q CELLS. The 1366 technology's direct silicon product incorporates Hanwha Q CELLS' Q.ANTUM battery technology, and the mass production standard process on the latter's pilot line also achieved an average conversion efficiency of 20.1%. Through the cooperation of the two companies, the battery efficiency of direct silicon technology has been increased by an average of 0.8% per year.

Test wafers were produced at 1366 Technologies' display facility in Bedford, Massachusetts, and battery production was performed at Hanwha Q CELLS's technology innovation and quality center in Talheim, Germany using mass production process equipment.
